The dreams I have that I see the next day really don’t have a meaning that I cam think of. One dream I was running from the police in a SUV with a trailer hooked to the back of it on I77. The next morning on the way to work I saw a SUV with a trailer hooked to the back of it pulled over by the cops on I77.

Now was that just a coincidence...idk...I’ve had Numerous dreams like that

Out-of-body experience perhaps? Or, maybe not...you can leave your body for a short time, but you are never truly disconnected from it - at least not until you enter the state of inertia that we call death.

Dreaming is not real (as in tangible), but you are. Change something in a dream and you change the whole direction of the dream. You do not have a dream-self. You can visualize, imagine, or however is best to describe using you to save you, but that isn't what actually happened. If it did actually happen, it would be a disaster of Biblical proportions for you. You cannot be your own doppelganger - your personal universe would be destroyed.

You can be assisted by a look-alike spirit, but you would not perceive it as yourself.

It is possible to use your subconscious power to change the dream and upon awakening you perceive it as you reaching in to pull yourself out. Some part of your psyche felt you needed to awaken and changed your dream which left you sitting up in bed. I guess you could say that your psyche brought a dramatic end to the dream, as opposed to simply changing its direction and allowing the dream sequence to continue in another direction.

As a final thought - it must feel good to know that deep down, you are willing to save yourself.
