My wife and I were out in our back yard taking pics of comet Neowise. She had gone to sit down. I noticed a bright light with what appeared to be a light bluish beam far off to the west. I went back and got the camera from my wife and started filming as it began to pass over the area. She did not see it due to where she was sitting. I had gone further into the back yard away from the trees so I could get a better view. It seemed about 1500 feet up traveling from west to east, there was no noise coming from it at all. It was as bright as burning magnesium but with what seemed to be a bluish tint. There were no blinking lights like normal aircraft. I have been an amateur astronomer for about 35 years and have never seen anything like this before.
Why would space debris be slow moving exactly? Oh, you mean it was heading towards the observer so it APPEARS to be slow moving in a vertical, and horizontal direction.
I feel that any secret project craft would be bound to have flashing lights on its wingtips but maybe not. What does everyone think about this. Are the military allowed to NOT have flashing lights on their craft?
I suppose if you are going into battle or dropping off special forces, you dont want the enemy seeing your craft coming so I guess they can "go dark" and it would make little sense to have lights on your craft if you were going to go invisible too.
How can we humans know who or what is inside these craft?
LOL, that was not even close to being in space! The witnesses estimate was around 1500 ft, I think its less than that actually.
I couldnt tell distance from my vantage point. It appeared to travel in a straight line. Did it fade out/stop at end? With so many things going on up there, its hard to make a call.
It's certainly not like any meteor I have ever seen. It's moving far too slowly. But neither is it exhibiting any movements that make me think it can't be a man-made object of some sort.
Until someone comes forward with an explanation, this looks like a great UFO video, keeping in mind that UFO means an Unidentified Flying Object.

Plus, keep in mind, its totally silent. I cannot think of any known aircraft it could be, too slow to be a jet, too quiet to be a helicopter, and it has no air frame, just appears to be solid bright light.
Interesting. If he was filming it flying in from the west, he must have been located to the north of the object. As it heads east, it appears to turn slightly to the south. Wright Patterson AFB is located about 50 miles to the south of Lakeview, OH.
I can’t imagine what sort of space debris would have such a composition that it could burn and move so slowly and for so long in the atmosphere.
