Keep our eye on this one people. 1 dead and almost 400 infected.

If the CORVID-19 was a prelude to a larger and more powerful pandemic, then this might be it. Of course, before our resident misinfo policeperson says it, these types of things are emerging all the time in 3rd world countries - after all, thats where companies test their vaccines and governments test their modified viruses.

Nearly 400 people have been hospitalized and one person has died due to an unknown illness that has spread in the city of Eluru in the Andhra Pradesh state of India, according to Indian media.

Local authorities have ruled out water and food contamination as possible causes for the disease, according to the Times of India. A team of experts has been called in from the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. Air pollution has also been ruled out as a cause, as have known viruses, according to NDTV.

All of the patients tested negative for COVID-19.

Oh...its OK, it is just farming runoff from the land that got into a river perhaps.

Member of Parliament GVL Narasimha Rao stated that he had talked with AIIMS director Dr. Randeep Guleria, and that "poisonous organochlorine substances" could be the cause of the illness.

I highly doubt this is due to a novel virus. Despite its massive population, I don’t believe any major epidemic or pandemic in modern history was caused by a virus found to have originated in India. My theory is that due to the cultural/religious abstention from eating most types of animals by the majority of inhabitants, the chance of transmutation is fairly low.

One thing that is a major problem there is tainted foods and alcohol. Not good food safety standards or monitoring there so all it takes is say a batch of tainted alcohol to poison or kill hundreds. If I had to guess I’d put my money on this ending up being due to something like that.
