Just curious to see if anyone here ever experiences this? What does it mean?

I have experienced this in my 29 years of life - maybe once a year or so. What gets me is the feeling I get when it happens - you know, the feeling of it already happening before...

I have had dreams of future events and instantly recognised them when they actually occured. The sense of Deja Vu is probably the same thing, except you had forgotten the dream.

Different things can spark a déjà vu.
For many it's dreams, of feel that it's a dream. For those who believe in past lives, it could be one of those moments in the current life that is in direct connection with a past life.

I don't personally think deja vu is "supernatural" in origin... it's most likely a harmless error in brain function where the "I remember that!" brain signal(s) is accidentally fired. It feels weird because there is no memory recall to go along with it like usual, making it unusually noticeable and confusing.

Good thread. i get this once in a while. One of those "Wait a minute...." moments. Got one a few months ago and racked my brain on trying to recall.

The brain is a mysterious phenomenon not fully understood. So much not known.

it's funny that seeing/communicating with spirits seems perfectly normal to me but experiencing a déjà vu can leave me a bit shaken for a few minutes.

I have had a number of times in my life where I had dreams and later, often months later that same exact thing plays out. It is a very strange feeling.

I used to experience this as a child sometimes. Eventually I got the impression that it was the result of being in a situation that was similar to a previous one, and having more than one element in common in both situations.

Have any of you ever considered that it may also be from Gene Memory?
Reason I say this is, I've had dogs all my life, and all of them, turn and turn and turn, before they lay down. That is Gene Memory from the pac, passed down thru the genes from many thousands of years ago....reason being, they laid down in the direction of the wind to detect preditors, so it makes a whole lot of sense, I mean, we're talking thousands of years ago, and dogs still do that, so there is definately something to Gene Memory...which might help explain Deja Vu
