The first thing is I dont think we can think of other races(ET) as having the same emotions as we do. They may not have any - in which case they dont understand our sense of abuse and outrage at the abduction event.
Another point we have to consider is that IF we are a genetically engineered race and THEY (or their ancestors) engineered us, then they have historically thought of us as their property just like a cow or dog to us. We do what we have to, to ensure our animals are healthy and some animals are used for testing our drugs on.
This second point leads me to suspect the "giving our permission in a previous life" kind-of explanation is just to excuse the behaviour, without understanding the full history (which no-one does) of the human race.
There is so much we THINK we know about our past, but really we can only draw conclusions from what we find and what we see around us. Ultimately, these are just opinions of scientists although there are things we can do like analysis of artifacts which can give us more data about which to speculate.
Currently, no-one officially acknowledges that ET abductions happen and they certainly dont say "yes we do some of them and make them look like alien abductions." which I believe is the case.
Once the ET phenomena is recognised, then maybe the abduction phenomena will be also.
