This movie baffles me. Expert after expert after expert has come forward and screamed, "Fake!" At least two people involved with the hoax have come forward, admitting it was a hoax. Yet there are still people out there who continue to take this seriously.
Why???
Personally, I think there is more evidence and a better argument for the existence of elves than Bigfoot.

From the Wikipedia link: "In 2002, Philip Morris, owner of Morris Costumes (a North Carolina-based company offering costumes, props and stage products) claimed that he made a gorilla costume that was used in the Patterson film." Supposedly Morris's wife backed her husband's claims, but there are problems with that account and I have yet to see how much Patterson paid for the costume (maybe I missed that part?).
Patterson had a track record of searching for a way to make a quick buck. I know that it did not do him any good in the end run, but you cannot say he did not try. Even today he still has many believers and they will never give up trying to prove the film was real. I still think, if it could have been photographed once, then there should be plenty of quality pictures emerging every year - but there aren't.
Thank you. I had no idea of the history of the suite but figured there was a logical explanation. I totally agree that if bigfoot existed it would have been found, tracked down dead or alive long before now.
The fact that some believers now are saying it has magical powers to disappear and go through different dimensions shows that even the "believers" don't really believe in it anymore.
