That's what I thought too.
Before, it looked somewhat compelling. Now that it's cleaned up, it doesn't look "creature-esque" anymore. It looks just like a human in a hairy-creature costume. When he looks back at the camera, I'm like yep, that's a human! Particular in that part of the film, you can tell that the whole thing was scripted.

Here is a Wikipedia article on the film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patter...%20debunk%20it.
In that link, it tells of two different confirmed times that Patterson used Bob Heironimus. Once for a film, he made about six months earlier and once to get a horse for Gimlin. The link also tells about how Patterson originally estimated the size of his BF to be around 6' 6" in height, but later changed his estimate to around a foot higher. Bob Heironimus was 6' tall and passed a lie-detector test on National TV about how he wore the suit for Patterson.
I have not seen the new 'enhanced' film. I am curious if you can still see Bob's white face and eyes looking back through a rectangular slot in the hairy hood? I also did not like the white feet on the last 'enhanced' footage since many primates do not have white feet. It even looked like the booties slipped while Bob was walking.

Fisheye,
Thanks for sharing this information. It confirms what I'd heard some years ago. I was listening to an AFR (American Family Radio) radio station while I was working. I don't remember what state I was in at the time. At any rate, every so often, the programming would give a 60-seconds latest news update. It's never gossip or news simply for sensationalism sake.
During one those news update, the anchor person reported that "John Doe (I know longer remember the name) passed away today and on his death bed surrounded by his family, he confessed that he was the one wearing the suit in the Bigfoot footage".
That's the part that caught my attention because I've been a lifelong believer in the possibility of Bigfoot. This was radio years ago so there was no way for me to rewind it and listen again. Nor could I go to their website and read that bit of news. I'd never heard any other follow-up to the story but I've never forgot hearing, on a station that I trust, the announcement that day that one of the men involved in the famous Bigfoot footage died but admitted on his deathbed that he had been a part of the hoax. I guess he wanted to die with a clear conscious.

There is still plenty of wiggle room for believers. Gimlin on his death bed admitted that he could have been fooled - but he did not say he was fooled. That leaves room to question. The fact that nobody has the original BF costume will be used to support their arguments. We have two forum members on CD that claim to have seen one of the creatures; so there is always somebody pushing the possibility.
Considering that in 1967 there were only a handful of video cameras that could shoot a video like the PG film, today everybody has the equivalent in their pocket or purse - why are there not better films? Technology caught up with BF and made our world smaller. It would be impossible for any unknown species to hide if there was a population large enough to reproduce. In 1960 I believed that BF was possible, but not today.
The believers need new solid proof to keep their myth alive.

rstevens,
Did you watch the short video of Bob Heironimus posted on page two of this thread? Bob walks just like air quotes "Big Foot" in the P&G film. I believe Bob's version of the story.
Now "The Legend of Bogey Creek" is a different story. There is no actual footage of BF in that movie but I most definitely believe those people saw a real creature.

More than ever, it just makes me want to design a system to catch best-ever photography of Bigfoot.

And manufactured in Chinese sweat shops for slave wages. You would think the least the Nike could do is hire BigFoot in the US to make the shoes and pay him a liveable wage.

Without those "sweat shops" in multiple countries those kids would be starving worse than they are now. Could you imagine the insane prices Nike would have to charge for their amazing shoes if they paid the crybaby lazy Americans WAY more than they are worth to make them. Wages here(US) are beyond insane and consumer prices are going to be WAY WAY worse than they are now very soon because of it.
Here is a pic of the ugly BF inspired Nike shoes.

Better yet then, Nike can pay bigfoot in deermeat or whatever it is that they eat. Cheaper than Chinese slave labor. Make Bigfoot Great Again.
