No, I believe what the bible says...that the earth will be destroyed by fire. As to how and when...I haven't the vaguest idea !
Well, yes, technically the Earth will be destroyed by fire. In a couple of billion years when the sun starts to burn out it will grow very large in size and probably end up consuming all of the Earth into a big ball of fire. So, yeah... I guess you could say that.
You know I must say, how many times have we seen these doom and gloom and end of world predictions come and go, and yet we're still here, amazing isn't it....

AND...the earth has ALWAYS had earthquakes, storms, droughts, pestilence, etc...and there have ALWAYS been wars and famine and murder and injustice, since the very beginning of life and time! BUT...nowdays we have many, many more people sharing this earth, and we have the wonderful news media! We can see what is happening all over the world...a hundred years ago we did not know when a tidal wave hit an island and wiped out the people. Now we do. We are not seeing anything that points to any great End Times...it's nothing that hasn't happened throughout history. It's just better seen and known now, and the over-crowding on this earth has made the famines and suffering all the worse.
Will the earth end in fire? Yes...it will be consumed by the sun in a few billion years. By then the people of the earth will be long gone out of necessity, but I doubt we will all be sitting in Paradise or Hell. Maybe we'll be in a different or parallel universe?
there is no such thing as this end of the world and Anti-Christ and all that. those are ideas that MAN put into place to keep people in fear. if anything ends this world or ends humanity, it will be caused by ourselves and the pollution and endless waste.
We can study calendars, try to figure things out based on what is supposed to happen, what already happened, what is happening now and the list goes on. However the Bible states this:
You must also be ready, because the son of man will come at an hour you do NOT EXPECT Him.
Luke 12:40
So, how can we, if we are Christians, even debate when the end will come?
If people spent less time worrying about when disaster is coming and more time just having a good time with life, the world would be a slightly more tolerable place.
I honestly think people will believe anything if it has something to do with mystical calendars or boulders or codes written in books. Stop being idiots and enjoy the world around you.
