This is a Haitian immigrant. The point for me is how I keep hearing about how good diversity and multi culturalism are for us here in the US. Well, this is not my culture and I don't like it. Haiti is a country full of people who are as dumb as bricks. How does it benefit the United States to be pulling people in from a hell hole like Haiti.

I'm getting real tired of people coming to this country and refusing to assimilate. I like my culture. I don't want my culture to change and I don't want to be exposed to this Haitian voodoo culture and I don't want to be exposed to a lot of other cultures I can think of. We have got to start being a lot more particular about who we let into this country.

That's what you took out of it? Wow. If a lot of Haitians are dumb as bricks what in the world is our excuse? Especially those USofA citizens that are too dumb to realize our very culture, that they so dearly love, is comprised of so many different cultures, traditions and influences that they probably couldn't trace them all back if they tried.

If you don't want to be exposed to it the answer is quite simple: Don't go around it. Bigotry cloaked in patriotism or anything else is still bigotry.

What exactly are you looking for in your determined pressing for a "point"?

Any thoughts on the controversal topic of the thread?

I'd suspect that most of your Voodoo practioners in the US are dark skinned urbanites as opposed to the Inuit.

Hope that helps.

Some people believe immigration should be about making the USA into the flophouse of the world which we've pretty much become.

Much immigration now is about getting the welfare handouts here. No more background checks, no need to be employable or sane. No need to ever make an effort to learn English or adapt to American ways.

Ahh...religion.....the evil things it does.
And why do they have to be Christians from Africa? What about other Christians in the past, and what about the fact that people in other countries did the same things...even worse
