There is supposedly one around Taos, NM. There are actual noises around Modus CT caused by slow sloppage of the bedrock in the area.

Probably a logical explanation, There have been many theories from underground machinery used by a secret societies like aliens or other beings to it being related too HAARP and government black projects attempting mind control. There is an underwater one as well: The Bloop.

I sold a house once because of a humming sound that drove me nuts. It was worse during the night. As soon as I put my head out of my bedroom window it stopped. I even had my neighbour turn off his electricity to see if came from next door.... it didnĀ“t. I had to get out of there it was so bad. My wife could hear it, but not to the extent I could.
