Was god showing off by letting her ingest the poison and then sorting her out? I suppose if he had taken the preventative route and not let it get inside her, no one would have known it was a miracle. Did he have to let her 'nearly die' to get maximum miracle effect?

If she had been born of a devout muslim familly, would alla be getting the credit?

Default Wishful Thinking Leads to Miraculous Assumptions

I'd love to have access to a teensy-weensy bit of this girl's liver to do a liver function biopsy and confirm this miracle. If it were truly a miracle, there'd be absolutely no damage to the enzyme systems, not just sufficient healing to allow normal functioning under no stress. If, however, she ever requires medications for some unrelated disease, or requires strong antibiotics such as Levaquin, etc. which really stress the liver, the other shoe may drop.

I don't wish any problems on this girl. It's just that facts and biochemistry cannot be ignored or bypassed, but the simple fact that her very young and growing liver "healed" (covered up by teh very high tissue growth levels of the young) does not equal "miracle".

She may well have suffered cellular damage which will only show up when she's a little older. A child's ability to heal, especially when an organ is not yet fully grown, is legendary, but I'm sure the church and the parents would like to have this "miraculous" determination.

But if she does have any problems later in life, I'm equally sure we won't hear about it.

God does miracles everyday regardless of what the vatican deems or not.

The vatican is nothing more than a group of men who thru their own deeds claim to be righteous and represent God on earth.

The truth is not dependent on what you belive.

Praying to a dead person? You'd get the same effect by praying to a rock or an idle made of mud or gold.

"The dead know nothing." The Bible says so.

If he does them everyday are they 'everyday miracles'?

We're not praying to dead people. They are very much alive. Just as you or me, are in alive in Christ. So too are they. Physical death does not seperate us from Christ. We are all apart of one body.

PS.6:4-5

Return,O Lord, deliver my soul;oh save me for thy mercies' sake.
For in death there is no remembrance of thee;in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
