Hi I'm new but need some advice please (sales, phone)

Hi there,
While I understand that none of you can give me a definitive answer I would like an opinion.

I had an interview for Full time sales assistant role for a local Family Bakery. They had read my CV and one of the first questions I was asked was if I was only interested in working as an assistant or if I would consider taking the manageress position. There were then more questions about the manageress position.

Do you think this is them showing a real interest in hiring me? The lady said she's probably phone me by today but I'm going insane running it over in my head.

Do you feel up to that position of manageress and would you want it?

As it was one of the first questions it seems like a priority to them.

Well I told them I had done some management skills courses. And that one day I would like to become Manageress. But at the end of the day I applied for the full time assistant job.
