Looking to stay a step ahead of Dog the Bounty Hunter? Try going to Britain, where immigration officials have decided he isn't welcome. The reality TV star, real name Duane Chapman, has had his visa application rejected because of a murder conviction from the late '70s, reports the AP. Chapman, then 23, was in a car outside a Texas house where a fellow gang member shot a drug dealer dead.

Don't know why this is a big deal, I don't think it's the first time he's been refused into the U.K. and that's the way it should be no matter what small role he had in the crime he is a convicted felon and something he knows that he will have to live with the rest of his live. You probably know this already but the only 2 states that he was legal to bounty hunt in the U.S. was Hawaii and Colorado due to their lax bounty hunting licensing.

Duane's not a bad guy, he just took the wrong path. I didn't care much for his show or his tactics but overall I don't think he's a bad person.

The cop who arrived on the scene of his arrest back in the day actually vouched for him to be let into the UK in that he was a reformed man.

It's up to the UK to decide who they want to let in but in reality he poses no threat at all to anybody there.

Same here . Being a criminal is it seems not a barrier to being a celebrity and making obscene amounts of money. I wonder if he pays the family of his victim anything from his earnings... Mmmmmm.....

Goodness me, imagine how terrible that this man cannot visit the UK. How will we ever manage to recover from that appalling situation ?!?! They let Mike Tyson in for something as stupid and inconsequential as a boxing match though so I suppose money talks though so who knows maybe the guy can bribe someone in the Home office to let him in.... Raping women is no way near as serious as some blokes missing out on their favourite "sport" after all.

Do you know anything about the man or are you just one of those people who read the Sun and Daily Mail then get all reactionary when people who have made mistakes in their past? People like you just get a thrill at pointing at others, because it makes them feel better, even though some of these 'bad' people have made more of a success of their lives than the same people who want to condemn them for their past.

Besides, he was with the person who pulled the trigger. Me? I didn't even know BB was still on air, and I may have watched it just to see his interaction with the p**s poor douches that call themselves celebs.

What on earth are you on about? The man was convicted of first-degree murder. Do you accuse everyone of being a Daily Wail finger-pointer if they have even the slightest bit of human decency and emotion and perhaps wonder why a man convicted of such a crime is allowed to walk the streets and gain millions from doing nothing at all other than being a washed out celebrity famous for what exactly?

Puh-please, get over yourself, I don't care how successful a person is, that has no bearing on my judgement of them. In fact, successful people who get away with anything will always score poorly in people's books because the money and fame they have is almost like a get-out-of-jail card.

Nobody gets away with anything...they pay dearly by losing their liberty, losing their standing in society and more. I'm just saying the man did something when he was young and then rebuilt and changed his life. Are we to keep kicking people down? In Texas you can be convicted of 1st degree murder by just being with the person that committed the murder.
