To be honest I am not sure Religion or even Politics has anything to do with so called "sectarian" violence anymore. I say this as an avowed Atheist .

All I see is just a bunch of thugs and morons using religion as an excuse to beat the crap out of people. Put them in jail and throw away the key. (Same with the London riots participants last year).

Just "gangs" too drunk on violence and mindlessness to even know what they would be fighting about IMO. Both sides need a collective bottom spanking and to be put on the public naughty step as well as the proper judicial pursuits. Drop their trousers and put them in the public stocks whilst the public comes and jeer at them before putting them in jail. Behave like moron be treated like one.

I find it extraordinary that these things still happen in Belfast. I had hoped that we had seen an end to all this madness and stupidity...

Yeh...so...I'm more curious how many civilians were injured....you accidently bump into a cop, and they'll say they've been injured, or assaulted!
