Yes, sort of. A brilliant idea can be clever, whereas an awesome idea doesn't sound so intelligent. Does that make any sense?

Brilliant means very good. You can say a film was brilliant. A person can have a brilliant sense of humour.

thats kinda what i figured.

i like watching some of the British shows on BBC or sci-fi, but its hard to understand stuff sometimes.

When I lived in Bristol UK every thing was " gurt swell peachy lush like innit ".
