I am so sorry.
I agree with this completely. It was really distasteful of him, especially since we have such close connections to Great Britain politically.

and knowing what an important figure Margaret Thatcher is.

the truth is I think most Americans have a fondness for the U.K and even look to it and want it's support.

Plus just the historical/cultural connection.

From what I have seen most Americans like British people and Britain.

don't judge how Americans feel about the British just because our president is an a**hole

we can't stand him either so don't feel alone.

Cause the Guardian would say that support for Europe is increasing! They probably pick most of their people because of their left wing bias!

The Guardian is only read by The Chattering classes of Chiswick, Dulwich and Putney.( In London.) No one else in London, let alone Britain reads it. It is a very unpatriotic paper, even to the point of endangering our soldiers. Disgraceful.

Actually, it's one of the few decent journalistic publications in Britain.

Good on him for not going to her funeral - that's the one thing that I actually like him for. Why would any decent person wish to attend that evil witch's funeral?

US administration's don't send "representatives" (whatever that means) to every former foreign leader's funeral, but any excuse for the far right tea baggin nut jobs in this country to criticize the President

I've been to Canada quite a few times and found it more similar to the US than the UK.
The architecture, accents, stores, etc.... were all so so similar. It was sometimes difficult to find differences.
in the UK....there's no mistaking you're in Europe.... it's just different.
