but remembering its not the ones who strap bombs to their own bodies who are the dangers, its the ones much higher up the chain giving out the orders we have to worry about so dont kid yourself... we have a hell of a lot to worry about....and I dont read the Sun..
Agreed, Dizzy. This isn't about "lowest comnon denominator politics" here; and not all people that have an opinion about Britain's future read the Sun (or the Daily Mail, come to that!)
But anyway, let's not turn this thread into another trope about immigitation.
Democracy died a little in this country; and a mother & people's representative was viciously murdered. This thread should be remembered for her and not the political machinations surrounding it.

Over the last decade 738 people wth Mental Health problems (Manchester University Report) murdered someone. This is a lot more common that people think or have we forgotten the likes of Jonathan Zito who was stabbed to death at a Tube station and the Zito Trust or Phillip Simelane who stabbed to death 16 year old Christina Edkins as she travelled to School on a bus in Birmingham or numereous such other cases. The fact an MP has been murdered is very very sad indeed, but we have to ask ourselves as a nation should we really be cutting mental health beds and services in an already overstretched system.
As for MP's they need to have far better security, and this has highlighted the issue and the Police will need to do more, although sadly they are also the subject of cuts.
I suggest our politicians stop bickering and do something regarding mental heath beds and services, and then we all might be safer and people who need treatment and support might be able to actually get it within a reasonable timeframe rather than waiting for a bed and those people with such health issues in the community can be supported properly by mental health professionals.

The whole world has to worry about the threat from terrorists such as ISIS, but I fail to see what that has to do with Muslims who have been peacefully living in the UK for many decades & indeed around the world. And the refugees wouldn't be refugees if their countries were not being bombed. Should we not help any of them on the off chance that one or two may be brainwashed into blowing themselves up??

Bernard Kelly the man who tried to help Jo is in a stable condition in hospital, latest reports,
We will also be coming together on Wednesday, Jo's 42nd birthday, at 4pm in Trafalgar Square in London, to honour Jo's memory and all that she stood for.
We would love to see you there.
Thank you,
Gemma Mortensen
Mair has appeared in court, and when asked to confirm his name said "Freedom for Britain, death to traitors".
I hope Farage is satisfied. Feed the trolls, and the trolls act.
What has the death of this unfortunate woman got to do with Nigel Farage ?
Are you saying that the subject of immigration controls shouldn't be raised at all ?
How very sad.
And undemocratic.
I suspect even though Jo Cox vehemently disagreed with Nigel Farage's views she would have upheld his right to express them.
If the opinion polls are correct they're shared by nearly half the people intending to vote in the referendum.
