I observed the Brexit vote from across the pond, and last night I started watching the TV series The Last Kingdom. That got me to thinking if England should be divided into smaller kingdoms much like it was in the Anglo-Saxon days. Why have the UK? Why even have England? Are any people in England loyal to a certain area, like Essex?
I'm very convinced that Brexit will be the spark for scottish independence...
The Brexit saga is still simmering, and may not even be ratified if Owen Smith has his way. So until we know for absolutely certain where the UK is going to position itself over the next year or so, calling for English regional autonomy (or States, perhaps), is moot.

I could be mistaken, but I take it you're not a fan of Mr Smith then?
