There needs to be some kind of inquiry in to this security lapse, and this should not have happened even if Sunak was not present at the house.
It should however be noted that Sunak own a string of personal properties including two London properties in relation to a five-bedroom mews house in Kensington and pied-à-terre apartment in South Kensington’s Old Brompton Road.
Sunak also owns a rambling Georgian manor house in his North Yorkshire constituency, which boats a heated indoor swimming pool.
Sunak and his wife (whose family are billionaires) also own a Pacific Ocean facing penthouse apartment in the celebrity enclave of Santa Monica, California.
According to 2002 Sunday Times Rich List Mr Sunak and his wife have a personal fortune of £730 million ($924 million USD).
I would have thought after his official residencies, the most protected building would be his constituency home in North Yorkshire.
I think personal close protection for Sunak and Ministers, as well as their official residencies such as 10 Downing Street and Chequers is provided by the Metropolitan Police
Protection Command, I think his local constituency home in rural North Yorkshire is probably the remit of North Yorkshire Police, a relatively small and mainly rural police force.
