www.upmystreet.com gives test results for schools in any area.

With a little searching of the OFSTED website you can find recent school inspection reports. Although they tend to be written in PC code, so it is hard to tell if a school is totally failing and full of problem children. Read between the lines.

I imagine Liverpool is full of Catholic and faith schools, which are often highly regarded.

I'd close every faith school tomorrow, but the OP was asking for information, and faith schools tend to be popular and produce better results. Whether those better results are because they attract better students with pushier parents is not relevant to the OP's question.

My kids go to forefield primary in Crosby North Liverpool ,Its an excellent school. There are a lot of great schools in the area but i am not sure about other parts of the city. You should have no problem finding good schools in Liverpool it's getting your child into one that can be tricky as many are oversubscribed.Good luck with your move
