Gotten some replys b4 here so...volcano permitting, I'm headed to Ireland tomorrow:
Guiness is rich and smooth but I don't get much buzz off one pint. I'd be hard pressed to have two, cuz that's a real meal. I don't often drink and when I do I want to catch a buzz off one beer like I do when I drink a Lager; so that I actually can have two.
What else do I order- is Harp it?

Surely this should be in the World Section, not the U.K. You should really find out which country you are visiting before You go there.
I presume You are visiting Northern Ireland as Ireland is not in the U.K. (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland). The country officialy known as Ireland or Eire is not in the UK, only 13,843 km2 of the Island of Ireland's 84,421 km2 landmass is in the UK, the rest of Independent Ireland is not.
Give the guy a break. He was asking for a drink, not a geography lecture. Maybe by using the term Ireland he was making the point that anywhere on the island of Ireland is Ireland. Maybe he was hoping one of the many millions of Irish heritage in the UK would reply. Or maybe he just made a genuine mistake. Last time I looked there isn't an Ireland forum anyway.

Judging by the number of Irish in the UK, there are more than a few of your countrymen who are a bit confused on this subject
Harp is a good Lager.
Caffreys is not a great drink IMHO.
Smithwicks is my second Irish drink of choice, behind Guinness.
There is also many microbrews in Ireland now too.
