Hi, I'm currently trying to decide between a few masters programs in urban planning and I'm hoping I could here some of your thought. Penn is currently my favorite program, but I am also considering Cornell, Columbia, and Tufts. My interests are on economic development and zoning/land use. Do you guys have any opinions or experience with these programs?
Is the Cornell one on its main campus in Ithaca? Because I have to say, that'd be a funny place to study urban planning. Kind of like studying hurricanes in Montana.

Those programs will indoctrinate you in a dying perspective.
the leading programs - University of Miami (who wouldn't want to study urban planning in the back yard of Duany) , Notre Dame and Maryland - at least you'll be prepared for the battles of the 21st century - not the 20th.
