Where I live (Charlotte) doesn't really have any true urban canyons. DC, while it lacks height, has great urban canyons. Here are a couple.

I posted these a while back. New York, especially Downtown Manhattan has the best urban canyons I can think. The combination of narrow streets and tall buildings is unmatched.

D.C. probably has has more urban canyons than any city but NYC because of how big downtown is. They don't rise way into the sky but they go for miles in every direction.

In terms of narrow streets and buildings both Boston and Philly come close but not on the same scale or height typically

Here is a smaller street (Juniper) in Philly (Some of the downtown areas of Boston with the winding streets also have an interesting canyon effect)

An Example of how tight some areas of Downtown Bsoton always feel to me (The curvy streets make it feel more compact than the grid in Philly IMHO, this also takes place in downtown NYC.
