Maybe you meant 0.08.
LOL, my mistake! But yeah, despite what some have said above, it takes a few drinks even for a 130# woman to get to .08.

A 130# woman could have 2 beers in 2 hours and have a BAC of 0.036. A 175# male could have 4 beers in 2 hrs for a BAC of 0.059. I'm assuming the calculator means a standard size beer (12oz).

And after the first hour most of that beer would be out of the drinker's system.

Sounds like a great idea to me. Luckily I live in South Jersey, where we have a 24 hr. subway line that goes to and from Philly. So I don't have to worry about trying to fund or improve PM transit service.

Though you meant .08,

According to NHTSA, plenty of "drunk" driving accidents happen well before .08.

Plenty of accidents happen with no alcohol involved. Your point?

In many locations (including Colorado) the legal limit is .05 BAC.

Actually, 0.05% in CO is DWAI, Driving While Ability Impaired. DUI is 0.08%. Still, one has to drink quite a bit to get to 0.05%.

I see that it changed on Jan. 1. Prior to that it was 0.08. I was not aware of that b/c I do not drive drunk, at any level.
