Who still don't get it? I don't think anyplace in the USA gets it yet.....Seattle, Portland, Austin, San Diego, Minn/St. Paul, Bay area, and Boston may get it a tad, but, compared to almost all European cities west of Moscow, we are horrible on our best days...Just like a call girl who thinks shes above a hooker....we are less profligate in our best cities than, say, Memphis, but we are all profligate wasters....

No place in america truly gets it.....not one Euro city uses cars for personal use like we do, and none more than 38% of our usage.......and on and on..........Not one place in America remotely compares to any major euro city...try finding an SUV in Amsterdam, Milan, or Paris, for example....

No, the USA as a whole just doesn't get green...

This from the person who absolutely adores Orlando, the poster child for un-planned, gas-guzzling sprawl where the only remnants of the thousands of trees bulldozed are the names of the suburban cul de sacs...

Supposedly Portland is the 2nd most green city in the world.

But I would guess most areas of the south and midwest would lack the "green" culture.

I know Waco is going green, because they just built their first green building in downtown.

Portland is definately not lacking in the green department, especially the kind of green you smoke!

My state's WAY behind in the "green movement". All you see on highways is dually trucks and everyone drives everywhere. However, my whole state has the population of Denver so the air is still the cleanest!

Maybe because gas in most European countries is around 8 dollars a gallon and the roads aren't that big.
