Hello all,

I'm considering a move to the Salt Lake-Provo area to attend Provo College and would sure appreciate any advice related to such a move. Cost of living compared to other areas, best areas for housing (renting), weather/climate, crime etc.......

Also anyone who is or has attended Provo College please chime in on your experiences there as well.

THANKS!!

Cost of living in Utah is usually considered relatively low. Though it probably depends on where you're moving from. I'd check out Provo and Orem for renting, as that's where most rentals are. Crime is low. For climate, just check out the Wiki page. Provo, Utah - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Default Provo living

Hi. Are you single and looking to share an apartment with others or are you looking for a place of your own? Rent here is +- 1000-1400 for a house. However if you would be ok with roommates, + 300. There are lots of apartments being built here now. And I mean a bunch! Mostly by the local college, UVU. If you will go to this Facebook group and ask there, you will be able to get in touch with local people who live here. The group is "Welcome to Utah County." You may try "Utah County dream homes" also. Be careful of replies on this forum. I have noticed that a few people are very vocal in the negative sense. Don't know why.
