Husband offered job at Dugway. Would be moving from Indiana with 4 young children. Know nothing about Utah. Are people friendly and accepting of other religions and ethnicities? Would Tooele be closest town to live in that offers a variety of activities and schools?

Dugway is giving free land to families moving in.All you have to do is build a house under 100,000.00.

Oh they are also going to have phase 2 where your house can be more than 100,000.00 in the near future. They may already be doing it.
Go to Dugways website, and you can fillout an application. I am sure they will be happy to have you.

How about the community in Tooele? Will we be given a hard time if we are non mormon? How about our children?

Tooele will be a nice place to live regardless of your religion. I believe the only place where religion could play a part would be in really small towns or the Provo Orem area.

It would be wise to find out how well your kids will be tolorated by the mormans by asking other non-lds people. You will find that there is some discrimination by some. Oh yea, if you drink alcohol, you will get an occasional evil eye from some neighbors.
