Cool! One of the Extreme Home Makeovers was just a few blocks from my sister's in SC...I don't watch the show, but we watched that one. They had the street shut down so you couldn't really do a drive-by until after it was filmed & done...looks quite odd in it's neighborhood of 1960's 1800sq' homes!

Cool! How do they decide who to give it away to? Is it a drawing or what?

Ya, you enter online once a day for a month or two. They usually give the house, a car, new furniture and $500k in cash (to pay the taxes).

They do shows about the house and the new technology used in the building. I have watched it for years. HGTV Dream Home Central - Sweepstakes, Videos, Tours, & More : Home & Garden Television

It's four thousand square feet Belle,

For a family of four (Husband, wife two children) that's 1000 square feet per person. I mean even if you throw in Mr. Whiskers and Fido, and how much square would they need?

Sometimes you just have to wonder.
