For a state rich in oil, natural gas, coal, and other natural resources, and very limited in water, Utah is a better fit for storing nuclear waste than it is for producing nuclear power.

As long as the power company could get bank loans without government guarantees and they could secure hundreds of billions in liability insurance or self insure with reserves for hundreds of billions, I would be fine with it.

With my conditions, it would NEVER happen, read up on the Price-Anderson Nuclear Industries Indemnity Act.
