We are from TN, our only two children have moved west, ND and Utah. We are considering trying out Utah since our only and first gandbaby will be born in March. Wondering what the jobs are like there for healthcare and welders/industrial electricans/cdl drivers...are there any small farming communities in north Utah near roy or layton.

I would recommend looking at Farr West. The whole western area near there is rural, and close to the jobs and healthcare in Ogden. I don't know specifically that job market, but it's typically a little better than the national average, but usually lower than average wages.

Hooper and Uinta are nicer areas, so is Morgan. Although the later might be too remote. They are also within distance of Ogden.

If that doesn't work, Utah County might be your next best bet. Perhaps something on the western part of the county would work (Elberta, Santaquin etc).

Final suggestion would be east of Park City, near Kamas but I don't know if there is any electrician or medical jobs out that way.
Good luck!

2 container drayage companies in Salt Lake City recently went out of business. But I still see lots of CDL jobs advertised.

You could try jobs.utah.gov and see what there is.
