When I visited the area last month, a realtor was telling us that Alpine was an expensive area with many mansions. However, when we drove through it (or at least I thought we did as I saw signs that said Alpine), we only saw much older small houses. Are there any newer (2005+) homes in Alpine?

It is mainly a nicer region on the foothills of the mountains. Filled with neighborhoods mostly. Shopping has to be done outside of the city. The nearest big shopping center is American Fork, but Cedar Hills has a lot of room to grow and probably will. Shopping isn't too far away.

There are many 2005+ newer homes growing not just in Alpine, but in the communities around it to directly answer your question. It is an affluent area, and the higher in the hills you go, the fancier the mansions overlooking the valley.

Overall, it is a nice suburban community that is on the rise and growing.
