With all of these comments often that almost everything is controlled by Mormons in Utah,
I noticed that even the USA Government is giving in and creating one more thing to cater to Mormonism.

They have created
Mormon Gasoline !!!

If you like to know where to buy it go to
Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada
or get an app on your phone to find Pure Gas.

Heavens, not only is that gasoline alcohol free, but it is also called Pure Gas. !!

Mormons and the word pure ...
Can't get any better, no ?

I hear they get it so pure by refining it in a tank filled with special rocks for a duration a few months shy of 15 years. That being said, while it may be pure, the gas isn't quite delightsome enough for me. I doubt it catches on.

I am pretty sure it is not the same wood tanks as the *good stuff*
you can only get in some special stores ...
But ... , it does get stored in similar dark and dreary places as the good stuff !

But wait, it does not contain alcohol so it might be available in more mundane places ?

All seriousness aside, I have found it somewhat of a better quality than the aloholised kind
When it comes to *purity* ...
My American made Japanese pride and joy, seems to be a bit more happy,
when it gets to partake of it !
May be I am just imagining it ?

My car was made by Chrysler... the TRUE definition of "Original Sin". Gotta keep her free from the salacious taint of the devil's elixir at all costs...

Thus endeth the 10th year of the reign of ethanol over the people of Utah.

Another question worth addressing about this fuel. Is it actually pure or is it merely just "pure"? I know that sounds the same, but in truth those are two totally different things - because doublespeak.

I have the faintest idea Geo-Aggie.
Again all seriousness aside, it is the gasoline we used to know, without any alcohol added ...

Since we (the groupe that flies for fun in Utah) need the unadulterated gasoline in our engines,
we are always looking for the *pure gas* or whatever it is known under.
Lucky for us, wherever we fly, we can always find one station which sells *pure* gas.
Tap the *pure-gas* APP, and it tells us where the nearest gas station is, with *mormon gas*

What I have not been able to figure out,
is why it cost more than alcohol laden gasoline.
If you do not add something else, should it thus be cheaper !!??
I asked one of the stations, and they mentioned that the *ethanol*
is added right before they fill the delivery tankers.
The main storage tanks do NOT contain the Ethanol at all.
then I asked how they get away with it ...
They said: read the label !
Uhuh, it says contains UP TO ... \
That thus means zero to maximum of 10 percent !

I have an old sit down tractor type lawnmower and
I had to have it overhauled due to the use of ethanol gas.
Almost all the lines and the tank were damaged by the use of that gas !!
We have cars that are only a few years old, so OK to use the ethanol gas !
I ONLY use the *mormon gas" (!!) and I get a bit better gas mileage.
*They* (you know who they are ??) said it has about 10-15 % less power result !!

Cause EtOH is corrosive, to some extent, to most of the metals in the supply chain (tanks, pumps, piping, etc). Cars needed an enormous amount of engineering and material changes to enable them to tolerate it. Good riddance. While we're at it, let's cut off the subsidies and blending requirement to the corn states lining up at the federal trough. Other industries have adapted to change and they can too.
