That's southern Utah; all the ski resorts and the mountains where the snow is supposed to be is northern Utah (although lately there hasn't been all that much snow up here too).

Wink Road trip in reverse - utah section

Hey ya'll I LOVE UTAH. I spent an entire month traveling across Southern Utah through ZION, DIXIE NAT. FOREST, GROSVENOR ARCH, RED CANYON, BRYCE, ESCALANTE, CALF CREEK FALLS, SINGLETREE, CAPITAL REEF, GOBLIN, CANYONLANDS, MOAB, LAKE POWELL (another month), and out via HOVENWEEP.

All of my travels were documented in extensive write ups and photographs while I hiked, backpacked, and mountain biked.

Try some of these links (this is not an advertisement) from my personal website - just a grand trip I was lucky enough to embark on which ended up with more than 12,000 photos form a Cannon D40 with a Tamron 28-300 lens:

a.> Smack in the middle of my true road trip stories - "South Utah"
SOUTH CENTRAL UTAH

b.> Archives of all blogs main page -
RISSLING
scroll down for UTAH!

c.> Additional photos in "Albums", scroll down for UTAH! -

Peace On

What amazing pictures of this diverse array of desert and snow. The artistic touch is grand in the composition.
