Does anyone have any input regarding the Granite School District's Advanced Learning Program (it is a gifted program)? The admission criteria is based on a test and the program is offered at two locations - Fox Hills Elementary & Morningside Elementary.

My child got accepted into it for first grade and we have accepted the invite, but I am not sure if we are making the right decision. We did Challenger School for kindergarten. I am really torn on if we should be continuing with Challenger or go with the gifted program.

Any input regarding this program, how it would compare with regular public schools or Challenger would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much!

Sooo, did you send your child to Morningside or did you keep him at Challenger? I would love your input on Morningside if you went that route.

Uh... this thread is three-and-a-half years old and the individual who started it has only posted on City-Data twice in that period of time. Don't hold your breath waiting for a response. I would suggest instead that you start a new thread in the Salt Lake City (as opposed to Utah) forum and ask you question.
