Hello! My house in Ohio is in contract and should close in the beginning of November. I plan on buying a home in Utah (Logan area) in the spring but I need a rental until then. I am hoping to spend under $1000 a month, and need at least 2 beds (3 beds preferred) and 1.5 baths. I have two small dogs. An attached garage would be a big bonus but not a must have, we only have one car.

I have been looking online but figured I would ask around as well. Location isn't a huge deal as you can see, my biggest requirement is high-speed internet as I work from home.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Probably go with a town house at that price and there are a lot of newer ones in Logan with wifi/high speed internet, plenty of those. Be prepared to deal with conservative Morms and having nothing to do except enjoy the great outdoors. And snow. Six feet of it.

Thank you. Being in Ohio I am quite used to snow but perhaps not that much at once, good thing is working from home I am not forced to go out in it when it gets really bad As for conservatives Mormans, that is okay. Although I am an athiest, I was raised in a strict evangelical home and I am not bothered by anybody's faith or lackthereof. I also am painfully shy and do not really rely on the companionship of friends (though it is welcome), so if my lack of faith means I will be excluded from community events or whatever, it won't really bother me. As long as people remain civil, which I do not think will be an issue, I am perfectly fine. The only thing that concerns me is future children, I want them to be able to make friends and not feel too much like an outsider, but...kids are years away so I do have time to figure out if Logan/Utah is a right for for myself and my family.

And the great outdoors in a big reason why I am moving went on vacation, fell in love, always wanted to experience living outside of Ohio and figured now is my chance to try.

Thank you again!

Trust me, you'll never have to deal with six feet of snow at once, and the Mormons don't bite. I hope your move to Utah works out well for you. Since you will be working from home, though, I am curious as to why you chose Logan instead of Salt Lake City.

Thanks! Well I went on vacation to Bear Lake and fell in love I don't want to be too far from it, haha. Then end goal is to eventually move to bear lake permanently though that will be quite a few years from now. Also I am hoping my fiance transfers to USU after living in Utah for a year (but that all depends on how his credits will transfer.)

Also I liked Logan as a town when I went. People were friendly and it was beautiful. I likes SLC too but I am used to small town living, Logan itself is twice as big as where I am from I am sure I will travel to SLC a bunch though.

My internet requirements are not too stringent and comcast at least provides the download and upload speeds I need (we will see about customer service...I haven't heard good things but you never know!)
