I've wanted to live there for years but can't figure out how people make a living without commuting or working from home. Housing prices are way expensive. What are the most common jobs people do that live there? Any ideas?

They farm or commute or sell off bits of land for development.

Back in the 2000s, I knew some U hospital administrators who lived in Heber. We looked at a place on Main Street in Midway. It had a great view of Deer Creek reservoir. But I didn't like the idea of commuting Parley's every day

Great questions. My wife and I would of had an opportunity to relocate to Heber through a job opportunity, and a decent paying one, at that. But then we looked at the housing prices in Heber and the surrounding communities and simply would not be able to afford housing. We wanted at least 5 acres and that's just not available in the area.

Bummer. It looks to be a beautiful spot.

From what I hear and some friends I know that live in Heber, there are a lot of folks that work in Park City who can't afford to live there, so they live in Heber instead and commute to PC.

My husband and I are moving to Heber. He's taken a job in Park City, and I work from home.
