Sadly, indeed. I don't know how many "sister wives" you think you might find in Utah, but I suspect they comprise about .0000001% of the population here.

Yeah for sure. I definitely don’t believe that it’s as serious as the stereotype plans are to be. As a matter of a fact polygamy is trending everywhere. But for whatever reason that’s what people think when they think of Utah along with Mormons. Nothing else really comes to mind

Not even the best skiing in the world? Or our five amazing national parks? You've got to get out here sometime, Paraguanero.

As per polygyny, there are more Muslim polygynists in the US than there are Mormon fundamentalists. What about polyandry? Hey, if you don't know who the swingers are in your neighborhood you're spending too much time on city data, lol.

Ive heard about the skiing and experienced it. Its great! Zion is also my favorite national park.

The "negative" stereotypes really just involve the lack of racial diversity or the moron religion.

I'm hoping that last statement was a typo.

Katzpur, you're the only good-hearted Utah cheerleader on the Utah forum. Everyone else just comes here to bash Utah.

You think so? I think a lot of the locals actually like Utah quite a bit, and a great many of them are transplants.

Its not a typo, but that is why I put the "negative" in parentheses. Neither of those things (having a largely white population or being moron) is bad.

Overall I think Utah is perceived pretty positively. I certainly have a very high opinion of it. My dad used to work in SLC a lot so I used to go there growing up. Always had a wonderful time. Ive been a few times in my adult life too and I love the city.
