Thank you for the great info. Can anyone speak to the difference in the amount of snow Mountain Green gets compared to Ogden in the winter? Does Mountain green get more snow? Significantly more snow? Thank you!

Mt Green will get more snow than Ogden, but the roads are well maintained since I-84 and Hwy 167 are main roads to the ski resorts up Ogden Canyon. Mt Green is located along the Weber River and Weber Canyon. The canyon/freeway stays open virtually all year since it is a main connecting freeway to I-70. Predicting who gets the most snow is tough, because partially it depends on the direction the storm comes from, or if it's a "wrap around" storm coming from the south or east. Anyway, the elevation is higher in Mt Green vs. Ogden, so likely will get a little more snow, and then hang onto that snow a little longer. It's not enough snow that you cannot get out of your house and up/down the freeway 90+ percent of the winter. You will likely be shoveling/blowing more snow out of your driveway than a driveway in Ogden, but both will require you to move some snow each typical winter.

Your payoff will be the quieter living in Mt Green vs. Ogden. Much cleaner air as you'll be out of the winter inversion areas. Plus the closer access to the mountains north of town, access to the Weber River, and mountains/lakes south of Morgan, UT. I'd pick Mountain Green or Morgan over Ogden any day.
