Do you mind sharing the name of the place?

Sure. I mentioned it in a previous post that it was at the Lasik Center by fashion place.

cool. thanks for the info, everyone. also, dreameyes, is your husband just extraordinarily persuasive, or did he know something in particular that made it possible to talk them down in price?

lol...well he can be pretty persuasive but no i think it was the fact that he walked in with 1200 in cash and said this is what i can pay take it or leave it, cash can be pretty persuasive.

thanks, aaron out.
I had an amazing eye surgery and the money was well spent. I went to a place in Salt Lake as I was referred by my eye doctor in Layton and so it was a little cheaper then if you went to the center and just walked in and wanted it. I paid 1,800 and this was almost a year ago, so it may have come down. I had the mono vision done. I had worn mono vision contacts for two years prior to having it. I can see better than ever. The surgery took all of 10 minutes and I could see instantly after. I couldnt see anything previously up close. I was wearing 2.75 in my left eye for contacts and 1.50 in my right.

One note...I don't know how old your wife is or if her eyes are constantly changing but my regular eye doctor said wait to have it until your eyes stay the same for about 2 years. I started having to wear contacts about 8 years ago and they got worse each year. Then for two years they didn't change at all and he said now is the time to do it.

Its so nice to just pick up something and read it now and not have to round up reading glasses or put contacts in.

I recommend it!!

Also I agree with the other post. The surgery is painless. You must wear your shields at night for a couple weeks as to not scratch your eyes. The only thing is your eyes are a little dryer at first but that disappeared after about 3 months. I also moved to a more humid climate and out of Utah so maybe that's why they are better.
