I suppose it could, but you would be very isolated, and I agree with rickers, in the winter you'd have trouble; there's a distinct possibility you would be snowed in at times. Beautiful scenery, though!

That area is close to where I live. I think the road gets plowed, but maybe only to a point up the canyon. Great area, excellent snow for backcountry skiing at times. Moose habitat.
