Oh yeah, THAT was the first thing that surprised us! We got here mid-July...so were totally perplexed that the banks were closed and there were parades...we thought, "uh, wasn't that LAST week??"

We happened to go to Liberty Park that first time, and have tried to make it there every 24th since!

kaytidid, I wondered if NJ still did it that way!

I'm in NJ and you can only get gas full service. You are not allowed to pump your own gas.

I was wondering what other states had full service. I knew there were a few. Sadly, Utah isn't one of them!

Oregon is the only other one, I think.

This, and especially the short drive up into the mountains how amazing it is.

I'm from NY and I like to pump my own gas. I swear it goes quicker that way. Dealing with attendants feels like it takes so long...they wait on someone else first who got there after me or there is a problem with their credit card or something...

It just feels endless being trapped on some gas line. It took me 20 mintues to get gas yesterday during rush hour time. I was right by the pump!!!! I wanted to jump out of my car and just get the darn gas already!

If the place is empty, then it is fine.
