Friends -
I hope to be in Kanab Utah sometime the evening of Nov. 2. Since that is off season time do you think I need an advanced reservation at a Hotel or should I expect plenty of rooms to be available?
Also, we are going to do Zion and Bryce that next day but I was wondering do you have any recommendations regarding State Parks, etc. I have been to both these parks and love them, just checking on other local recommendations.

I doubt a reservation would be necessary. I think you could stay anywhere in town. You might try Parry's Lodge. It was the oldtime hang out for the western movie stars years ago.

I hope you aren't trying to do all this in one day, but if you have time, you might visit Kodachrome Basin State Park. Its near Bryce Canyon. Kodachrome has lots of hiking trails and redrock formations. There are a couple of natural arches in the vicinity.

The area from Kanab, north or any direction is indeed HEAVEN to me..I visit often.
I do have a question if anyone is kind enough to answer and that is, in summer Kanab is often 90 to 100 degrees with single digit humidity and clear sunny skies.I have always been extremely comfortable out there.WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF YOU?
