What's up with Ridgefield? I never here anything about that area....good or bad. I know Ridgefield is a very undeveloped town and it's about a 15-20 commute to go shopping. Very rural kind of living. Very beautiful and quiet, but what about the schools/homeschool groups or even community based activities? Do most people in Ridgefield just go to Battleground or Salmon Creek for schooling/activies? How about the crime in that area?

I'm starting to think Rigdefield is in it's own little happy twilight zone.

My DH has mentioned that its a small community, but very involved tight knitted. The parents are very involved in the schools as well and the students well behaved.

We just moved to Ridgefield and it's great.
There are a lot of newer sub-divisions being built here, so Ridgefield is growing bigger every day.
If your buying a house, it's pretty moderate. Around $200,000 and up for a newer house. If your renting, houses can range from 1,100-1,500 a month for a 2-3 bdrm+ 2 bath.

Ridgefield has a small library, a little market for grocery supplies, a few cute local shops, a couple of cafes and a pizza shop, plenty of small parks, a newer post office and elementary, middle and high schools. Pretty much everything you need in a small town. If you need to go shopping at a bigger grocery store, Woodland is only 6 miles away, which has Safeway, Burgerville and many other stores.

Also, Ridgefield also has a HUGE bird sanctuary that you can visit. Very nature friendly and beautiful here.

Default Ridgefield

I have been out that way and what I have seen is very nice. More rural, but nice homes.
