I'm looking to move to the Vancouver area for a job in Camas, and while looking for houses, I noticed several lines cut through the trees/forests near Washougal. What is that? If you go to google maps, and just search for Washougal, one is visible on the satellite view. Scrolling North shows two much larger ones. I followed them North-East, and they merge, then meet up with 97.

Could these be for future roads or train tracks?

Don't know which specific clearings you are talking about but usually those are the right of ways for power lines that are kept clear... from a distance you cannot see the actual lines.

They're put there by the US Government to facilitate the transfer and movement of civilians to the FEMA Death Camps.

Seriously though, they're likely power line right of ways like cdelena said. if you look in Google Maps you'll see them all over the place, especially near popular rural highways.

Ah, after looking closer, I can see that there are power lines and towers running along those clearings.

Thanks a lot!
