I am looking at a house on NE 154th avenue in the countryside woods area. I am also a ham (amateur) radio operator and would like to put up a couple of wire antennas. I communicate with other amateur radio operators all over the world. I am also able to provide communications in emergency situations. Are there any prohibitions in the CC&R's on this street that would prohibit this? I can't find and information on line about this. Thank you.

Do you think you will find CC&R's on line?

Contact your seller and get them, or a preliminary title search will provide them.

You will have to comply with county / city / FCC codes as well. I have had to remove a few Ham towers due to code violations. I have also had several Vancouver area neighbors who are legally operating from home.

It can be done, but may be a challenge.

Thank you for the info. I will be at the title agency on Monday and will ask them. I wasn't successful in locating the cc&r's on line by doing a property title search. I don't plan to put up a tower but just a few wires. Towers and beam antennas are too expensive for me.

Advice: AVOID the CCARC/W7AIA crowd if you can! You'll have to trust me on this one. They can be a valuable source of information to the strong, but if approached with imperfect courage, they will completely and utterly annhilate your soul.* If ever there was a Black Lodge* in the ham radio universe, that'd be it.

* I've really got to stop watching Twin Peaks whilst posting to Web fora.
