I have only lived in the area 6 months, so there is plenty to explore.
Haven't looked for Chinese in Vancouver. My wife and I have tried both of the little family run Thai places in downtown Camas and thought they were both excellent. Beyond that, most of our dining has been in Portland. Would like to discover more great Asian on the north side of the river.

Arawan was really good when I went there, haven't tried Ginger Pop, will add it to the list. I was disappointed in Tang's Wok which was highly recommended to me. Thought Mars Inn, which was also highly recommended, was just OK but much better than Tang's Wok.
Glad to know there are hand shaved noodles not far away. I will add Szechuan Chef to my list. Ginger Pop is more of a Thai diner, rather than nice restaurant like Arawan. We know the family and like them very much. There is also a smaller Arawan near the Clackamah Mall. I think we went to Mars Inn and I was disappointed. Was it like a buffet set-up on 164th?

Pho Saigon was good, but the pho broth did not have the sweetness I like. My husband had Bun with shrimp and pork. It looked very good. The service was very good. I will go again.

Mars Inn might have a lunch buffet, I went there for dinner. Probably would give it 3.5 out of 5. There is another restaurant called Mars, but not Mars Inn, nearby. Very odd coincidence. Might try that one sometime. As it stands it looks like I'll be going to Portland for Chinese food and continuing to hit what seems to be a good selection of Thai here.

I love Ginger Pop. It's my favorite restaurant in Vancouver. I don't think I ever ate at Taste of Sichuan - I don't have reason to venture over to 164th very often. I usually go to Happy Family for Chinese food, off of NE 112th and Burton.

Thanks for the tip on Happy Family. I will check it out. I love Ginger Pop also. It is owned by a friend of mine, and is a sister restaurant to Arawan (fantastic) and Khun Joe's Chicken. Lovely people.
