Does anyone know if there are any spots in the Vancouver area that are especially good or famous for Christmas light viewing? Kids want to pack up some hot chocolate tonight and go out to look at Christmas lights. Not sure where to go. We live in Camas and I heard the houses down by the lake are often nice.

I remember back in the day when I lived in Portland that there was one street really famous for lights...Peacock Lane???? Don't know they still do it or if there is anything comparable on the Vancouver side of the river.

Also I know there is also the Zoo lights which is on our "to do" list this year. Just looking for ideas for tonight so I'm not just driving around aimlessly.

Peacock Lane is still nice but crowded. There is also a wonderful house near us on Crystal Court in Lake Heights that does a fabulous music and light show every evening 6-9pm. This is the last year they will be doing it (they are getting older) so be sure to go.

nearby 160th Ave and NE 7th street (SE Vancouver, off 162nd) there is a pretty active bunch of decorators (I haven't been there this yr).

Cascade Park (off McGillvray) often has some streets that go wild.
