While living on a Canadian 'Gulf Island', the eagles would sit on our deck rail and taunt the cat.
They would also steal your fish from the dock!

This time of the year, the eaglets were learning to fly and to hunt.
There was a small pond within view of the house and we would count the ducklings... then there were less...the laws of nature.

In the year we've been up here, they've been a fairly common sight. I've seen one circling at the kids' elementary school. We had one buzz us in our yard a few weeks ago. I had one fly about ten feet over my car while driving in Brush Prairie. Had another one do the same on the corner of 28th and Ingle. Last time I drove to Hood River I saw seven. Each time it's amazing!
