I hear really bad things about Oil Can Henry's.
Can never trust Jiffy Lube or Express Lube
as they ripped me off!
Another thing we are lacking in Vancouver!
I suppose could start doing my own oil changes in my
driveway.

I go to the dealership they charge comparable to the oil change shops and hopefully don't *********r car up while performing simple services. Like you I would never go to the quick lube shops. It doesn't help you out much if they forget to put the plug back into the tranfer case of your 4x4 and it costs you 1500 dollars to replace it. Thats the most glaring example of quick lube ineptness but I have other viewpoints I formed in the years I used them. The dealers are better, but really I wish I would just get organized and do that myself since that is the only way you know that it gets done.

There is a place in 117th just north of Fourth Plain called Vancouver Express Auto Care. They do a good job, they're quick and fair priced. I use them when I need a change and won't have time to do it myself. They won't try to get you to buy wipers or get other services done like Jiffy Lube and those other places do.

I have heard good things about Gaynors

I also just took a friend to this shop, and he was pleased.

Top Performance Auto (all one word for website) it claims $16.95 including filter, tire rotation, fluid check...)
316 SE 123rd Ave
(2 blks south of Mill Plain on 123rd Ave)
892-4388

Neither of these are 'quick change' though both are in areas with shopping or coffee stops. And you would want to schedule during a time they are likely slow (midweek, first thing in morning, or right after lunch)

You might consider switching to synthetic oil if you haven't yet, then you will probably only need one change / yr. For $16.95 maybe I shouldn't be laying in my driveway !! ('cept I don't have $16.95) and I have 10 vehicles to keep going)
