Would you agree? The skyline is generally the same height and is dominated by condos, like Caracas or Sao Paulo, rather than financial buildings like the US.

Interesting observation, and one that is not that inaccurate. Down on the streets though, it's VERY different as you can imagine!

American city? Do you mean Vancouver, Washington? or Canadian city, Vancouver, B.C. (looks like any Canadian city to me).

Vancouvers' Arthur Erickson stated in his keynote speech.....in the early sixties, that the LAST thing we'd want to look like (or behave) like a downtown American city. The last half century has proven him right, constantly, on all levels.

After over half a century the USA is JUST NOW moving onto that type of liveable downtown platform.
So now is Calgary, Alberta, the only American city outside the USA!

Interesting observation because Vancouver's skyline reminds me of Miami. Lots of tall buildings of similar height, but few iconic ones that really stand out.
